On 8 October 2026, Urenco USA announced the completion of the sixth of eight centrifuge cascades that will be deployed as part of the plan to expand the capacity of the Eunice, NM plant, unveiled in 2023. The previous milestone, the installation of four cascades, was reached in April 2026. (The first three cascades became operational in May, September, and December 2025.)

All eight cascades are expected to add 700 tSWU/y to the capacity of the Eunice plant. At this point, its installed capacity is estimated to be 4,825 tSWU/y. After the current expansion plan is completed, the plant will be able to deliver 5,000 tSWU/y.

Urenco USA is working on a separate project, unveiled in June 2026, which will add another 2,100 tSWU/y to the capacity of the plant, bringing the total to 7,100 tSWU/y.
