China's experimental fast reactor connected to the grid
According to the July 21, 2011 announcement of the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), China Experimental Fast Reactor (CEFR) has been connected to the grid. The reactor, operated by China Institute of Atomic Energy, has thermal power of 65 MW and is capable of generating 20 MW(e). It achieved criticality a year ago, on July 21, 2010.
