As part of the China-Russia summit held in Beijing, the two countries signed a series of agreements on cooperation in the area of nuclear power (see also the Rosatom release in Russian). In addition to the construction of new VVER-1200 reactors, Russia will assist China in building the CFR-600 fast neutron reactor and will supply fuel for the reactor. Construction of the reactor began in December 2017.
