According to a report in the Nuclear Intelligence Weekly (December 19, 2011), Belgian companies Belgonucleaire and SCK-CEN backed away from the cooperation project with China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) that involved construction of a pilot MOX fuel fabrication plant in China. The Framework Agreement between Belgium and China was signed in October 2010. In addition to the pilot plant, the deal envisaged some technology transfer to China.
