On March 24, 2010 Rosatom's advisory council made a decision to cancel its earlier plan to close down the Plant-20 metallurgical plant at Mayak, which deals with weapon-grade plutonium, and move plutonium processing to Seversk. Plant-20 appears to be the only Russia's facility that handles weapon-grade plutonium metal.
