Medical isotope production in the Netherlands converted to LEU

The Netherland-based NRG group that operates the High Flux Reactor in Petten completed conversion of its medical isotope production process to low-enriched uranium. The reactor itself was converted to LEU in 2006, but until now NRG and its partner company Curium used HEU-based Mo-99 production process, with HEU supplied by the United States.
