Russia will build enrichment plant in China ahead of schedule

According to Sergei Kiriyenko, head of Rosatom, Rosatom is planning to complete construction of the fourth enrichment plant in China "in the second half of 2011," several months ahead of the initial plan. The agreement to build the new facility was signed in May 2008 and shipment of centrifuges for the fourth plant began in May 2009. The plant is expected to add about 0.5 million SWU to the capacity of the first three facilities.
